Brief description of the Organizations Focus: 

Zero to Three is a non-profit organization that informs, trains, and supports professionals, and helps parents in the effects to improve the lives of infants and toddlers. The mission helps infants and toddlers to promote the health and development. 

 One current issue/trend from the newsletter and/or from the website that caught your attention.

Impact of Trauma: Young children go through something while they are small. Some children do understand what goes on in their environment with their parents. Children do pay attention to what their parents say around them.

 It has been an awesome website. I have seen many websites on children. This website I will use for my future references. As a professional, I can use some of the resources for my classroom.

A relationship is a way we interact with each other. It is how each other treat and repect each other. When dealing with each other we come together as one as a family.While I have a best cousin that I am close with that I can dependent on when I need her.God is the head of my live. The most people in the head of my life is my future husband, mother,dad,aunt, and brother. I care so much about these people that I will been over backward for them and they will do the same for me.
     My future husband is my positive relationship because we understand each other very will. My mom and aunt we have a positive relationship because they have taught me how to be a woman. The relationship they have showed me I can use it with my child when I have one late on. My aunt and mom explains to me when I make a mistake and I listen to them. My relateship I have with my father I can listens because he put me on right point to alot of things in live.
     I will keep communication with them because communication is the key to a relateship. Because without you do not have nothing. I can talk to my dad and aunt about anything because they can understand better that my mother. My mother I can talk to her about somethings.
     I need to learn to control my talking because I talk to much sometime. When I am excited about things I start talking loud because I be so happy about what I am trying to say.
     A special characteristics that make us be close is the love we share and the talks we have. If we did not have this it will not work at all.
This reflect on me by helping other have a relationship like me and teaching the children how to love each others.

When I Think of Child Development … Children are one third of our population and all of our future. ~Select Panel for the Promotion of Child Health, 1981 We Did It!!!! I would like to thank each and everyone for helping me through this class for your thoughts and opinion. I have enjoyed reading everybody posts and comments throughout this course. I have learned alot from everybody and this course work. I enjoyed looking at the video's of the different ages groups.

Testing for Intelligence

Assessing our children
As I look threw articles and books for my refereneces to get ideas to better assess children in math,literacy, and science. That helps me know what the children have learned through time.Formative is what a students know or can do to figure out what come next. Formative and summative assessment are to check the results of the formative assessments are used by teachers and students to help the children improve their learning. Think that children are not measure. Cause it do not measured everything about the child. It do not show what the child cognitive development.

In England the testing/assessment methods of the overall method is a national standardized testing and in classroom they have quizzes and in the United States we have a National Standardized testing, State standardized testing and In-classroom testing. But in England the format of testing is essay format only and the United State we have MC tests, essay tests, fill in the blank tests, and portfolios. Every child learns in difference ways. That teaches children's to be prepare for other tests.

Wk 4: Consequences of Stress on Children’s Development

Violence ... A very sad Situation

When I was a little girl my mom stay in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend. He use to beat her real bad that she could not get me up in the morning time she can not get me ready for school. So I had to get myself ready for school. When things happen like that she tell me to go to my room and do not come out. So that happen so many time that my grandmother and grandfather told me that I did not have to stay with them. Then I cried because I knew my mother was not happy for me to leave. After that I started leaving with my grandparents. I stay with my grandparents until they past away. I want to learn about why do South Africa kills white people.How they did succeed, however, in making South Africa into a multiracial sewer with one of the highest violent crime, murder, rape, and AIDS infection rates in the world.On June 15th of this year, sugar farmer Robert Dent and his wife Allison, both 59, were killed in front of their twelve-year-old son Nicholas Dent. A Black invader entered the Dent home between two and three AM that Saturday morning, armed with a military-style rifle. He bludgeoned the unarmed couple, who were surprised in their sleep, and then, in the presence of their son, shot them to death at point-blank range in the farmhouse bathroom. I feel sorry for the child because the child seen what happen to his parents. That child will have nightmares for the rest of his life.

Wk 2 Child Development and Public Health

Breastfeeding

I chose breastfeed because I never though about breadfeeding if I have any children I would breastfeed. But I will think twice of it because I read a article about how beastfeeding helps the children be healthy. Mother's milk provides antibodies, which formula does not. Antibodies protect the baby from infection and illness in Africa.It talk s about how breastfeed will affect the child if the mother have HIV.In the United States people don't want to breastfeed their children they want to give them the can milk. How the baby finds the mother's breast all by his or her self. The time that mother's should stop birth feedin their child and for the child to be healthy. If I was parent's I would breastfeed my child before I go in public or I will breastfeed at home and put it in a milk bottles for my child.
