week 3 blog Cultural Diversity

Cultural Diversity

 I really do think that I am different from some individual of other culture because when I call customer service at Verizon for help with my phone. I get a person have a different cultural from mind. I do not understand what they be saying to me so I asks them can they put somebody on that I can understand and be nice and put somebody on. Ways I can communicate with any other group would be to try to speak their language if I could speak their language  talk for they can understand what I am saying to them. The three strategy I would use to help myself communicate effectively with people or group. One I would be respect to my to children parents at my work place to make sure we have good understanding of what going on with their children. I will make sure I put in term that they can understands. The second one is to  make sure that you be aware of any hand gestures and body language they use when dealing with different cultural. Last but not less, I would make sure I watch what I say around different cultural.

I hear you Chiquela. How many times do you call verizon and actually do get a human on the other end. Communicating with a voice sensitive robot is crazy. It definite brings out the nasty in me. When you do get a human you are correct, they usually are on the other side of the world. Patience I think is key when communicating with anyone.
